Fishing is not allowed within Nature Reserve Areas (Zone I). Specifically, It is forbidden to fish in Voidomatis River, from the Klidonia bridge until its sources, in the Aoos ravine and in the Arkoudorema (Valia Calda). In general, fishing in rivers is permitted from February 16 to October 31, but an additional prohibition may be in effect from April 15 to June 30 (due to the spawning season of certain species). In the case of trout, fishing is only permitted for catches over 22cm in size. Catch sizes are limited to a total weight of up to 2 kg or 3 fish per day. The only permissible method is with a fishing rod, while use of nets, spear guns and other materials and methods are illegal. Selling catch is prohibited.<\/p>\n
